64 Years!
I certainly can't remember his name or age, but the story is very compelling. My patient, in his late 70s told me that when he was younger then ten, exactly how old I also forgot, he was running down the sliding board at the playground. He fell on his backside and it really hurt. He didn't tell anyone for a long time and suffered chronic pain in his backside,

He stopped in to drop off a check and announced he is 100% pain free. After only two visits, it appears as though this gentleman is cured. I think he had come in for a third, but it was not necessary, I treated him just for good measure. He tried a lot of things over the 64 years, and suffered greatly, it was acupuncture that pushed that pain, right off the cliff.
I commonly see patients just a few times and really never remember any specifics about their cases. I am a clinician and not a researcher.
I have a line on my intake sheet that simply says "how long ". Upon doing the math of how long this patient was suffering from his particular complaint, 64 years struck me as a memorable, as a result of the song.
The case itself, for all it’s drama, is a common acupuncture outcome.
